Rhinoplasty

Nasal surgery

The nose sits at the centre of the face, and any change to it alters how the whole face is perceived. That is why each rhinoplasty is planned individually, seeking harmony with each patient's own features.

What it involves

The procedure makes it possible to change the size and shape of the nose. Functional problems, such as breathing difficulties or deviations, can be resolved during the same operation.

During the consultation, the face is assessed as a whole and a simulation of the expected result is presented, so that patient and surgeon share the same goal before the operation.

Technique

There is no single technique: depending on the anatomy of each nose, preservation, structural, hybrid or ultrasonic rhinoplasty is indicated. Piezoelectric instruments and a high-speed motor allow the nasal bone to be reshaped with greater precision and less trauma to the tissues.

Recovery

Usual activities are resumed after 2 days, and the splint is removed after one week.

Where it is performed

Consultations are available at any of the clinics, by scheduled appointment, and by video call.

Before and after

Frequently asked questions

From what age can rhinoplasty be performed?

Rhinoplasty can be performed from 15 or 16 years of age. Minors require parental consent. There is no upper age limit: it is determined by the patient's health.

How is the rhinoplasty technique chosen?

The technique is defined by anatomy, the patient's goal and their health, not by a standard procedure. Depending on the case, preservation, structural, hybrid or ultrasonic rhinoplasty is chosen.

Can breathing problems be corrected in the same surgery?

Yes. Functional problems, such as breathing difficulties or deviations, can be resolved during the same operation.
