Genioplasty
The chin defines the profile as much as the nose does. An under-projected chin unbalances the lower third of the face and visually accentuates the nasal dorsum.
What it involves
The surgery is planned meticulously together with the patient to achieve harmony with the rest of the face. It can be performed alone, although it is often combined with rhinoplasty to work on the whole profile.
Recovery
It is an outpatient procedure. Usual activities are resumed after 48 hours.
Non-surgical alternative
When the difference in projection is slight, the chin can also be treated with hyaluronic acid. The indication is defined during the consultation.
